Succulent Birdcage

I have seen these birdcages on Pinterest, (and I’ve had one pinned for over a year!) and decided to give it a try today. I’m so happy with how it turned out!

I found this really cute birdcage on sale at Michael’s and thought that it would be perfect for this project.

First, I pulled portulaca through the spaces in the birdcage and spread coconut fiber over them.

Then, I spread soil over the coconut fiber and pushed some succulents through the spaces in the sides and planted them on top.

And a little shout out to Emmalynn for all her help. She played with her toys in the grass and watched me stick the succulents in the top. She’s always so independent already and entertained herself like a champ while I worked away on this cute project.
